If after a 13 month (feels like a lot longer) pause on life you are looking to get out of lockdown with a bang, you have certainly come to the right place.
The Floodgate closed its doors on the 20th March 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic Lockdown ordered by the Government. Although we briefly opened in the Summer we were soon shuttering up the shop again in November 2020 along with the rest of the country.
You can imagine our joy when Boris Johnson announced that outdoor hospitality venues can reopen on the 12th April 2021. The team at The Floodgate are already hard at work preparing for you (our favourite customers) a post lockdown experience you will not forget.
For those of you that have not had the pleasure to experience The Yard, you are in for a treat. Our beer garden takes outdoor socialising to the next level. Spread over 5,000sqft The Yard Provides 2 Baseball Batting Cages, 3 Curling Lanes, Shipping Container Seating, Pub Bench Seating, fantastic Street Food & Ice-Cold Cocktails & Craft Beer. Last but not least our games & tables have been designed for social distancing and we follow strict Covid-Secure Guidelines.
The Yard at The Floodgate offers something for everyone, if you are the sporty type that likes a bit of Drink & Do Competitive Socialising with friends, partners or even first dates you can head on over a book a Baseball or Curling slot now. However, if you are more of a spectator and just want to sip an Ice Cold Martini or a Fresh Pint of Brooklyn lager then just pop on down and grab yourself a table in the sunshine, no booking required.
Now we just need to hope mother nature puts a shift in and gives us some nice weather – See you all in Digbeth on 12th April 2021
