We aim to make sure that you all have an absolute ball every time you visit The Floodgate! In the current circumstances, our main objective is that you can do that safely. Being covid safe means that we comply with a risk assessment that takes into account COVID-19. As such, it is critical that businesses take a range of measures to keep everyone safe. We understand how to work safely and keep our customers safe during this pandemic, ensuring as many people as possible comply with social distancing guidelines. There is also a wider system of enforcement, which includes specific obligations and conditions for licensed premises, under the National Restrictions, from 5th November. We understand how important our customers’ health and wellbeing is during the COVID-19 pandemic and will not contribute to the spread of the virus.

At The Floodgate, we have a duty of care for our customers and staff and we have implemented all safety measures advised by the government guidelines in order to ensure you and your friends can have an exciting and memorable experience whilst remaining socially distanced.

Hand sanitaiser is available upon entry and always close to hand in and around the tables, as well as face masks. We have extra hand washing facilities and are covid secure trained, with the most up to date temperature check equipment. All the equipment for your use is sanitised before and after every use. We will be using disposable glassware for additional safety measures and will have a reduced capacity, with 1m distancing apart and furniture will be spread out. Gamers will be spaced out and we ask that you please use contactless if you can. In addition, there will be an in-house daily deep clean.

Our games will be socially distanced, for example, we will ask there to be only one person in the Bleachers batting cage at one time. For Pitpat and CurlClub, we advise that one person take a shot at one time, in order to keep that social distance in place respectively.

We care about your safety and have taken enhanced safety measures to make sure your experience with us is both enjoyable as well as risk-free as possible. Let’s keep it Covid safe while having some much-needed merriment in the run-up to the festive period.
